MiReKoc Seminar Series of Spring 2019 continues with Nil Eyüboğlu’s presentation on “United Nation’s World Food Programme activities targeting displaced population”. The presentation and discussion will take place on Wednesday, April 10th, 2019, at 12:00, in SOS143. Registration is required for participants not affiliated with Koç University.

Title:

United Nation’s World Food Programme activities targeting displaced population

Abstract:

WFP is assisting refugees and internally displaced population in emergency operations providing immediate support with in-kind distributions but also social protections and safety nets. In Middle-Income Countries and more stable settings, WFP helps displaced populations build resilience with livelihoods initiatives with a large range of programmes in agriculture, husbandry, technology, job placement, and entrepreneurship.

Short-bio:

Nil Eyuboglu holds an MA in International Security specialized in the Middle East and Crisis Response from Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) (2017) and a BA in Political Sciences and Middle East from Sciences Po Paris (2013). She has worked in both public and private sector in conflict analysis and diplomacy in the Middle East and Mediterranean region and is currently implementing an economic integration project targeting youth from refugee and host communities in Istanbul for the United Nation’s World Food Programme.
